Hotels within Walking Distance of Target Field

Got a Game day Scheduled?

Where are my baseball fans? Visiting Target Field and don’t know where to stay? Or perhaps you’re seeing a show or catching a Timberwolves game at the Target Center and also don’t know where to stay? Here’s a secret: there is no shortage of hotels near the Target Field or the Target Center. Yes, they’re so incredibly walkable! Which gives you the perfect excuse to meander about Minneapolis: my favorite city on the planet!  Here are three amazing hotels near Target Field, Minneapolis! They’re also all very easy to find on google or Minneapolis’ Airbnb. Here are the Top Three Hotels within walking distance of Target Field.

The Hewing Hotel

When we’re talking about hotels within walking distance of Target Field we have to to talk about the ever so luxurious  Hewing Hotel in North Loop, Minneapolis.  It is the priciest  of the three we’ll be discussing today, with their 4 star rating it is incredibly worth a visit just once. This hotel has both an incredible restaurant and bar that offers locally sourced food, a skyline view of the city and a gym with free onsite yoga classes. Their rooftop lounge is open to both guests of the hotel, and the public.

Even at their  lowest prices the beds and rooms are both cozy while being very spacious. They currently do not offer laundry service which is quite a bummer. Parking will run you around $50 dollars a night valet service. Their mini bar is stocked with many fun things to purchase. You’ll never want to leave the hotel. Around every corner this stylish and modern hotel has another exciting and fun thing to offer: from swimming to rooftop views, you’ve got a lot to do!

Hewing Hotel – 300 N Washington Ave, Minneapolis, MN 5540

See the city in Style!

You definitely will. I promise you the surrounding area will not disappoint. This hotel is right in North Loop and so close to the Target Center, Target Field, and many other incredible restaurants and local spots. My favorite local spot nearby is Edwards Dessert Kitchen. Try their Matcha cookie! The Freehouse is also another local favorite and right around the corner is Modist Brewing! Modist is always open two hours before every Twins Game if you’re looking for the pregame spot. Their beer is eclectic but classic! Every inch around the Hewing is covered in interesting shops to pop into. The convenience and style of the area is breathtaking.

The Oaklands On 9th

Check out this historic Downtown spot!

Wondering where to stay in Downtown Minneapolis? Have you heard of the Oaklands on 9th? This is another one of the downtown hotels within walking distance of Target Field that just floored me with its subtle, yet ever so elegant beauty. This historic hotel is quite the spot to visit. If you’re a human looking for a way immerse yourself in the history of the area this is your spot.

A Grand Entrance!

This building was the first apartment building, built in Minneapolis and it might be the cutest. You’re greeted by a beautiful and might I add well kempt Victorian garden as you walk in. There is no front desk staff, which makes check in quite simple as you’re given a code specific to just you, in order to enter your room. Personally, I’m always carrying a bag way too large for me, with too many things(aka snacks and books) so this was ideal. To walk to your room you pass through a heartwarming gallery  documenting the history and restoration of the place.

Amenities to write home about!

The rooms themselves are very quaint and come with their own heat and AC in unit, hot plate, a tv and a free laundry room to use. Each room also comes with it own private restroom and a spacious shower. Around the area is the most affordable priced parking in Minneapolis, which includes the hotels parking lot.

Take the Skyway!

Take the Skyway (the cool tunnel system Minneapolis has to connect you to local businesses, restaurants and even target) to immerse yourself in Minneapolis culture and stay warm or cool depending on the time of year you’re visiting. Or take a stroll to the Mill City Museum, visit their Saturday morning farmers market and go across Minneapolis’ famous walking path on the Stone Arch Bridge.

You even get a free breakfast at a local favorite the Nicollet Dinner for every night you stay with them when you book directly with them. To get to breakfast you can sign up to take a short tour on their exquisite refurbished crimson red trolley. They take you on a short scenic tour of the lakes and then drop you off at the Diner. This shuttle runs both ways and is such a good way to start the day and get a glimpse into life and history in Minneapolis.

Take A Trolley Tour!

They offer a wide variety of  tours on their trolley that begin and end at the mansion  and I personally can attest they  have one of the most interesting mansion tours, Minneapolis has ever offered. You can learn so much in a matter of 15 extra minutes of time! The Clifton Manor is truly stunning!

Stay in the Georgian Room!

They have a variety of rooms you can choose from all with unique amenities: claw foot tubs, steamer shower, tvs are just a few of many things they offer. They also have conveniently located Keurig stands and a well equipped kitchen if  you want to cook. Staying the night here is like getting the chance to stay the night on a hallmark movie set, it is darn right idyllic. It is a little bit further of a walk to Target Field (a little over a mile)  but the Clifton Guest house is down right one of the most fun hotels in Minneapolis.
