Stay in the Blacksmith’s Forge! When you enter this incredible room through a secret door, you are transported into a time when horses roamed the city streets, and blacksmiths made custom shoes for the most prized horses in the stables. Now you can experience it when you sit in a comfy chair next to an anvil, and brush your teeth in the faucet spouting from the old forge. You can sit at the table for two or relax in your wicker chaise lounge in your private Victorian garden, walled on all sides. Or you can…
prop your chin in your hands and watch the beautiful fish in the floor aquarium which was built out of the old mechanic’s grease pit. There is a unique built-in brick desk and chair, and plenty of nightstand space on either side of the bed. This secret room has incredible detailing including a custom arched and mosaic decorated shower, lots of drawers and cupboard space as well as a large closet for hanging clothes. It has a museum of books and historical artifacts from the forge, ancient brickwork throughout, a cedar beam dresser and rustic pine beamed ceiling draped with work lights. The forge is well lit with stained glass windows, as well as a large sliding glass door out onto the gardens,which historically was the smelting yard.
