Kacey Musgraves brings the Middle of Nowhere tour to Target Center on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, with a 7:30 p.m. start and Carter Faith opening. It is a Tuesday night in downtown Minneapolis — which is exactly why it is worth turning into something more than a drive home at eleven o’clock.

The show is on the official Target Center calendar for Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are handled through AXS. Target Center sits at 600 First Avenue North, on the north edge of downtown, and the arena publishes its own parking and ramp guidance if you would rather sort that out ahead of time than circle at 6:45.
Midweek arena shows have a particular rhythm. The crowd is smaller than a Saturday, the room is quieter between songs, and the walk out afterward is calm instead of a scrum. The one drawback is the next morning — and that is the part a mansion five minutes away happens to solve.
Where to stay: a Georgian mansion just outside downtown
300 Clifton is the Eugene J. Carpenter Mansion, built in Loring Park and listed on the National Register — widely called the finest Georgian architecture in Minnesota. It is a little over a mile from Target Center, which means a short ride to the arena and a short ride back, with no highway and no parking ramp spiral at the end of the night. Rooms differ enough that the choice actually matters. The Crystal Mansion room is the showpiece — hand-painted detail, the kind of ceiling people photograph. The Grand Edwardian is the one to book if you want space to spread out for two nights instead of one.
The best part of a concert night is the hour after it
Most people go straight to bed after an arena show. We would suggest not doing that. The garden hot tub runs year round, and late September in Minneapolis is the sweet spot for it — cool enough that the steam rises, warm enough that the walk out to the garden is pleasant. Under the trees, at eleven at night, after two hours of country songs, it is a genuinely good end to an evening.
There is also Gertrude’s Cistern downstairs, our speakeasy and haunted video lounge, with heated reclining seats — which is where the night usually ends up if the hot tub is taken.
Stretch it into a midweek week, not a night
That same week in downtown Minneapolis is busier than it looks. The Minnesota Lynx host New York on Friday, September 18 and Indiana on Thursday, September 24, both at Target Center — so a Tuesday concert can be bookended by basketball at the same address without moving your car once.

Getting to Target Center without moving your car
From Loring Park, the arena is a short rideshare, a pleasant walk in decent weather, or a quick bus hop; Metro Transit’s Trip Planner will give you the current routing, which is more reliable than any route number we could print here. Loring Park itself — the Park Board’s namesake green space just outside the door — makes the walk back the nicest part of the trip.
