Zac Brown Band brings the Love & Fear Tour to Target Center on Friday, October 23, 2026, with Brothers Osborne opening. It is a Friday night in downtown Minneapolis in peak autumn, which is a lovely thing and also a busy one — the rooms worth having tend to go early.
Here is what you need to know about the night, and where to sleep afterward without hunting for a cab.
The show: doors, start time, and tickets
Target Center lists doors at 5:30 p.m. and an event start of 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23. Tickets are on sale through AXS, and the arena is a cashless facility — bring a card or a phone, not cash. Bags must be no larger than 5″ x 9″, and there is no re-entry once you leave the building.
The arena sits at 600 First Avenue North, on the north edge of downtown. If you have never been, the main skyway entrance is open to all ticketed guests; floor-ticket holders enter through the lobby.
Getting there without the parking headache
Target Center recommends reserving parking in advance through its parking page, which is sound advice for a sold-out-feeling Friday. But the better move on a concert night is not to drive at all. Metro Transit’s trip planner will route you from almost anywhere downtown, and the walk from Loring Park is genuinely pleasant in October — about fifteen minutes on foot, mostly along Hennepin.
Staying downtown also means you are not negotiating a post-show exit with fourteen thousand other people. You simply walk home.
Where to stay: a mansion, not a chain lobby
300 Clifton is the Eugene J. Carpenter Mansion, an 1880s house on the National Register listed among the finest Georgian architecture in Minnesota, tucked into the quiet block just off Loring Park. It is close enough to the arena to walk and far enough from it to sleep.
Rooms range from the sprawling Crystal Mansion to the tucked-away Hayloft and the Coachman’s Room over the old carriage house. Hand-painted murals, carved fireplaces, English gardens — the kind of place where the building is part of the trip.
The after-party is already at the house
An arena show ends around eleven, which is exactly the wrong hour to start looking for somewhere to go. Two things solve that here.
The first is the garden hot tub, open year-round and set under the stars in the walled English garden. A late October night in Minnesota is crisp enough to make that feel like a very good decision.
The second is Gertrude’s Cistern — the speakeasy and haunted video lounge in the basement, with heated reclining seats. It is a strange and wonderful room, and it is open long after downtown has stopped being convenient.
Make a weekend of it
Late October is a good stretch downtown. Target Center follows Zac Brown with Timberwolves home games on the 25th, 28th and 30th, and Loring Park is a two-minute walk from the front door for a Saturday-morning wander before the leaves give up entirely.
