Yes. At 300 Clifton, the historic Eugene J. Carpenter Mansion in Loring Park, the hot tub is not a lobby amenity you share with strangers. It sits in a hidden garden behind the house, it is a private, bookable experience, and it is open in all four seasons. Minnesota winters are exactly what make it special.
What is the 300 Clifton garden hot tub like?
Our four-season hot tub lives in the Secret Garden, wrapped in fencing and string lights and tucked out of sight of the street. It has scores of massaging jets from your feet to your neck, and you can adjust them to your preference. The warm water and the jets ease away the tension of travel, which is a good reason to book it for your arrival night.

Why does a hot tub work better in a Minnesota winter?
Because the contrast is the point. The air is cold, the water is warm, steam rises off the surface, and the garden goes quiet under the stars. If you are curious how cold the Twin Cities really gets, the Minnesota DNR’s Twin Cities climate page publishes the local normals.

How do you book the hot tub?
Book your room directly with us, then add the experience to your reservation. On our Specials & Packages page, at the time of writing:
- Private Hot-Tub Soak, $49: a reserved private soak in the garden hot tub, open all four seasons.
- Soak & Sparkle, $149: our most romantic add-on, a private soak with a chilled bottle of sparkling wine waiting for the two of you.
Book early to be sure you get your spot. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM, and our FAQ covers early check-in and late check-out options. Please note we cannot accommodate pets.

What else makes a night here different?
The hot tub is one half of the story. The other half is Gertrude’s Cistern, our hidden speakeasy lounge, where the private movie night comes with heated reclining seats, popcorn and drinks. For an occasion that deserves a little more ceremony, our guide to where to stay to propose in Minneapolis shows how the hot tub, the garden and the mansion fit together. Prefer a spookier evening? The mansion is a short walk from Loring Park, and Meet Minneapolis lists plenty to do nearby when you climb out of the water.
