Most NFL weekends in Minneapolis are Sundays. Then once in a while the schedule hands downtown a weeknight, and this fall it does: on Monday, November 9, 2026, the Minnesota Vikings host the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football, with a 7:15 p.m. CT kickoff listed on the Vikings 2026 schedule. If you are coming from out of town, a game that starts after dinner is also a game that ends late, which is a good argument for sleeping somewhere that does not feel like a hotel hallway.
Four more Vikings home dates follow before the new year, and one of them lands on a weekend that is already busy. Here is the lineup, and where we would put your head afterward.
Which Vikings home games are left this winter?
The U.S. Bank Stadium events calendar currently lists three November and December home games, and the Vikings schedule adds a fourth:
- Monday, November 9 — Bills: Monday Night Football, 7:15 p.m. CT kickoff.
- Sunday, November 29 — Falcons: noon CT kickoff, the Sunday after Thanksgiving.
- Sunday, December 6 — Panthers: 3:25 p.m. CT kickoff.
- Sunday, December 20 — Lions: Sunday Night Football, 7:20 p.m. CT, per Vikings.com. The stadium’s own calendar had not posted this one when we checked, so confirm before you book.
The schedule also shows a Week 16 home game against the Commanders and a Week 18 home game against the Bears, both with dates still to be set. Kickoff times can be moved by the league, so treat the times above as the schedule as published and check Vikings.com before you lock in travel.

Why a Monday night game is worth planning around
A Monday-night kickoff means two things for a visitor. First, a midweek stay is quieter, and a big downtown night feels like your own private event. Second, you will not want to drive anywhere at 11 p.m. After the final whistle, the plan at 300 Clifton is simple: head back to Loring Park, and finish the night in the garden hot tub under the trees rather than in a hotel bar.
Check-in is from 3:00 p.m. and check-out is by 10:00 a.m., according to our FAQ, so a Monday afternoon arrival and a Tuesday morning exit fits a night game neatly. Early check-in or a late check-out can be added for $25 each, subject to availability.
How do you get from 300 Clifton to U.S. Bank Stadium?
The stadium is a short drive or rideshare from Loring Park, and Metro Transit’s trip planner will show your options for the day you travel. Game-day traffic around the stadium is heavy, and we do not want to quote route details we cannot verify, so check the planner and any rider alerts that day. If you are driving, our guide to parking at 300 Clifton explains where to leave the car so it is not part of your game-day stress.
One practical note from the venue: U.S. Bank Stadium follows the NFL clear bag policy, with a maximum clear bag size of 12″ x 6″ x 12″. The details are on the stadium’s safety page.
Which weekend is the busiest?
Sunday, December 6 is the one to book early. The Panthers game shares the weekend with Julmarknad, the American Swedish Institute’s Scandinavian Christmas market on December 4–6. We cover that separately in our Julmarknad guide, but the short version is that football fans and holiday shoppers will be competing for the same downtown rooms. The Falcons game on November 29 also sits on a holiday-travel weekend, so those dates are worth reserving ahead.

What does 300 Clifton give you that a game-day hotel cannot?
300 Clifton is the Eugene J. Carpenter Mansion, a National Register property in Loring Park that is often called the finest Georgian architecture in Minnesota. You will find distinct guest rooms, from the grand Crystal Mansion and the Grand Edwardian to the cozier carriage house rooms, plus English gardens and the year-round hot tub. It is a very different postgame than a lobby with a vending machine.
Guests who book direct also get a $20 dining voucher per stay at the Pillsbury Club and a voucher toward the Minneapolis Trolley; the current terms are on our vouchers page. If you are staying longer than a game night, Oakland’s on 9th offers furnished, month-to-month studios in downtown Minneapolis.
Book your Vikings stay early
